ABOUT THE ALBUM

The Bad Day return with "The Great Blues Songbook", a heartfelt love letter to the music
that changed everything.

Released on Friday 13th November 2026 on Crackerjack Records UK, and featuring the new sound of the BD Horns, the album is available to pre-order now on vinyl. Carefully crafted with passion and respect, The Great Blues Songbook is a powerful celebration of the blues and the artists whose music continues to echo through every corner of rock, soul, jazz and roots music.

From B.B. King and Robert Johnson to Otis Redding and Sam & Dave, the album honours the pioneers who gave the world its soundtrack. Rich with soul, grit and emotion, it captures the timeless spirit of the blues while reminding us why these songs continue to move hearts, inspire musicians and transcend generations.

For The Bad Day, this album is more than a milestone, it's a thank you. A chance to pay tribute to the legends who lit the spark and to keep that flame burning for a new audience.
It's an invitation to rediscover the music at the very foundation of everything the band has become.

Accompanying the release is a feature-length documentary capturing the making of the album in extraordinary fashion. Inspired by the legendary recording session for The Beatles' "Please Please Me" the band entered Punch Studios with acclaimed producer Craig Smith and recorded the entire album in a single day. The result is an honest, energetic and beautifully raw snapshot of musicians completely immersed in the music they love.

The Great Blues Songbook is more than an album - it's a celebration of the greatest music ever written.
